Congratulations to Vanitra, Against All Odds was released in Best Buy on March 3rd, 2009. Selling over 500 albums in the first week. That's exceptional for an unknown artist with no airplay and no television promotion. Imagine what she would sell with the same resources as major artists!

Vanitra is asked to write songs to be marketed throughout the music industry, specifically to Keisha Cole who is working on her sophmore album. Keisha Cole has heard the songs and is in the process of choosing which ones she will have for her upcoming album. Kevin "Khao" Cates a Platinum Producer from Montgomery, Al who currently produced the #1 single Why you wanna by T.I. is now working on a debut album as an artist. There has been talk that Vanitra will be featured on the second single. Vanitra will also be featured on Khao's future mixtapes. Look out for her, she's all over the place!

05/01/06 (Songwriting for Ashley from the Lil Romeo show)
Vanitra has written and arranged a song for Nickelodeon's own, Ashley from the Lil Romeo show. Ashley is an up and coming pop-star and actually plays a singer on the show. Check time/date listings to see miss Ashely do her thing. It was reported that Ashley recorded the song last night with Vanitra's assistance in vocal arrangement as well. Vanitra is quoted by saying " It is great to work with so many different artists with different musical styles. We actually met each other last night, 2 hours later the song was written, and then recorded. Khao(producer) always challenges me to do something I've never done before, I wrote the song right there on the spot but the song turned out great and hopefully you will hear it on her album. Ashley has great potential and I see her going very far".

03/01/06 (Choreographers and Dancers Wanted)
If you live in the Mongtomery, Alabama area and you are a skilled choreographer and/or dancer, you should email Vanitra promtly to be notified of exclusive auditions that will be held later in March for choreographers and background dancers. Vanitra will be performing in Alabama (Montgomery, Birmingham, Mobile, Huntsville) and Georgia(Atlanta), and possibly showcases for major record label executives. She is looking for hard workers and dancers who are dedicated to performing and perfecting their craft. 02/10/06 (List of Producers have changed for the Debut Album)
Vanitra has reportedly had some problems with local producers and will not be using songs previously recorded with producer. Vanitra has made a statement saying "There are a lot of people that want to see me fail, but on the other hand there are a lot of people that are rooting for me; I will ignore the negativity and dwell on the positivity. I must say God works in mysterious ways, he has blessed me to come in contact with one of the greatest producers in the Atlanta area. The tracks are on fire and they are more than I ever expected. I won't reveal his name , but he is going to take my album to a completely different level. Stay tuned."

"Rocwilder" has produced for Destiny's Child, Mya,Method Man, and many more. Vanitra has three songs with tracks from "Rocwilder" and is set to record them in 2 weeks. 12/01/05(Vanitra Receives Airplay, 97.9 Jamz)
Vanitra first single from her upcoming album has hit local radio station 97.9 Jamz. The song entitled Something About The Way... won a competition entitled "Battle of the Beats" and earned Vanitra a spot in the daily mix. Vanitra has been receiving airplay since October. She is now awaiting a report from 97.9 Jamz to see how well the song is doing. 11/21/05 (Songwriting for Atlantic Recording Artist)
Vanitra is currently writing songs that could very well be songs for a new artist signed to Atlantic Records. During early November, Vanitra met with an A&R from Atlantic Records. He has listened to several songs of Vanitra's and maybe interested in songwriting from Vanitra for his new artist. Let's keep praying that Vanitra get's her big break in songwriting!

Congratulations to Vanitra for getting the opportunity to record with Big Kuntry from P$C. Vanitra and Big Kuntry connected through Kevin Cates, a well known industry producer who has produced for Lil Kim, Trick Daddy, T.I., Paul Waul, and many others.
A reliable resource reports that Big Kuntry is working on a solo album and hopes to release the album in 2006. He was pleased with Vanitra's performance on the song and hopes to do more in the future.
